BJS BBQ 

BJS BBQ was created through a ministry formed in 1999 called Jesus in the Park.  Jesus in the Park is a community event in Knoxville, TN that provides a platform for praising and worshiping Jesus Christ.  Many different choirs, soloist, bands, dance ministries, rap artists, clowns, comedians, local preachers, and community outreach groups all came together at a local park to give God all the glory.  

In order to make money for the ministry, Jesus in the Park would cook bbq at local events such as The 4th of July celebration, The Kuumba Festival, and The Tractor Pull to name a few.  

During this time of cooking bbq for the ministry, many began to ask where a restaurant is located, which we unfortunately did not have at the time. After 14 years of ministry work throughout the city, we finally had the opportunity to open a restaurant and BJS BBQ was born.  

Since our doors opened in 2012, we have been providing Knoxville, TN with a restaurant focused on giving the community a Christian atmosphere with great bbq and continually feeding the soul.
